Cannabis is a Gift – The Debate is Over.

I have a question.

Before I ask

Here’s The Foundation:

In 1970, Congress placed cannabis into the category of Schedule 1 of the Controlled Substances Act.

(Schedule 1 is a category that is tightly restricted and reserved for drugs that have “no currently accepted medical use and a lack of accepted safety for use under medical supervision”) Heroin, LSD, MDMA, and Quaalude also fall under the schedule 1 drug classification.

Schedule 2 drug classification mainly consists of the extremely dangerous narcotic painkillers. Oxycontin, Vicodin, Methadone –just to name a few.

In 1974, two separate government-funded studies – one of which was from the National Institute of Health (NIH) – paid researchers at the Medical College of Virginia to find evidence that cannabis damages the immune system, instead found that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice — lung and breast cancer, and a virus-induced leukemia.

The other study took place in Madrid – which found THC shrank or destroyed tumors in test mice.

Both of these studies took place in 1974 and both studies were quickly shut down by the DEA and never publicized – with the exception of briefly showing up online in 2000 and information exchanges in ’74.

So – here we are.

43 years later.

Chemotherapy standing strong as the number 1 option to combat cancer.

Chemotherapy — The treatment that kills cancer patients before cancer does.

Chemotherapy is a bomb inside the human body. It seeks out and kills every cell in the body — yes, this includes the cancer cells. It also includes other necessary healthy cells and ultimately the immune system is destroyed.

A human being undergoing chemotherapy has a distinct appearance, don’t they?
Does a human being with cancer have a distinct appearance?
Think about that.

We all know there are alternative treatments. The Federal Government knows about them as well. Yet — these agencies continue to support and enforce a system that does not work.
I will go further and say that the measures around medicinal cannabis have been irresponsible and a complete failure — along with the entire “war on drugs.”

Cannabis remains a schedule 1 drug with provable cases (thousands of them) of effective medical treatments.

How is this possible when, in 1974, a journal from the National Cancer Institute stated the following:
“Lewis lung adenocarcinoma growth was retarded by the oral administration of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol, delta-8-tetrahydrocannabinol, and cannabinol (CBN).”

Here’s the link:

Read it here

Referring to the NCI report, Patient Rights attorney Matthew Pappas said, “The Federal government’s continuing attack on people prescribed medical cannabis by their doctors is hypocritical considering the benefits reported by its own National Cancer Institute.”

Not to mention the thousands of studies performed since 1974 — that prove the medicinal qualities of cannabis are extremely significant and true. There is no room for debate anymore. The facts on cannabis can’t be denied.

My question is this: (Speaking for my Mom as well – cancer took her life)

Why are those in power not interested in evolving?
